Domestic violence is a community problem and we need community members from all walks of life to help us eradicate this problem. This training is designed to give you everything you need to recognize, communicate and facilitate change in the lives of domestic violence survivors. The training is presented in three parts: Domestic Violence, Legal Advocacy, and Communication/ Cultural Competency. All three parts are delivered in the 8 hour, one day training. Volunteers that attend at night are free to attend the nights of their choice as long as all three parts are complete. These courses are intended to be the basis for the completed ten (10) hour volunteer advocate training. The remaining training hours will be completed in your chosen area of advocacy with a specific team member as your guide.
